THE pupils, staff, parents and governors of Llandogo Primary School are delighted after a local authority inspection report delivered "extremely positive comments in all areas."
In November a team of Monmouthshire County Council officers spent two days scrutinising the work of the school and talking to the children.
The inspectors commented: "Learners have positive attitudes to learning and thoroughly enjoy lessons. They are very well behaved.
"Pupils behave positively toward one another and the school takes conscious steps to cement these relationships.
"Trends in school performance show improvement with the maintenance of high achievement in pupils' outcomes."
Other comments included: "Staff know individual learners extremely well. They are fully aware of their needs and respond to them in a positive and supportive way.
"Expectations are high and this is made explicit to all learners, which secures very good levels of progress.
"The head teacher has a clear vision for the development of the school, based on a secure understanding of its needs."
