I think that the Co-op in Coleford is an amazing place. It has an incredible selection of foodstuffs, the manager and his staff manage to create a ‘village shop’ relationship with their customers, giving time for a chat in a very caring manner with light-heartedness and humour.
Their coffee shop is also a great asset and boon to many. I have not been aware of such a situation and atmosphere in other local supermarkets.
I have also not been aware of the council asking for people’s opinions on having another supermarket in the vicinity.
They seem to be spending vast sums of money in costs awarded against them through what appears to be their incompetence.
