POLICE have issued a picture of a man they want to speak to about the theft of £50 from a self-service till at Asda in Caldicot.

According to reports on social media, a local man withdrew the money at the store on Thursday, May 26 at around 8.30pm.

When he got back to his car he realised he had left the cash in the machine but when he returned to the store the money had gone.

Gwent Police has issued this picture, taken from the store’s CCTV, of the man who is thought to have taken the money – he then went to another till and paid for his shopping with a card.

That information has been passed to the bank to get details but Gwent Police are asking anyone who recognises the man in the picture to call them on 101 quoting 1600193425.
