MEMBERS and supporters of the Forest Fitness Centre at Cinderford have given a boost to the Heart of the Forest School's fundraising efforts to purchase a new mini-bus.
The Fitness Centre has given a cheque for £1,100 to the school. The presentation was made by power-lifting champion Nathan Fisher this week.
Part of the money was raised at the centre's 30th anniversary concert held at St Stephen's Church which featured the Forest of Dean Male Voice Choir and the Bellevue Singers.
The mini-bus fund is set to get a further boost from a 'Walkathon' to be held at Lydney Park, home of Lord Bledisloe, on May 19 at which there will also be a barbecue.
Centre founder Alan Elliott said he wanted to thank everyone who had contributed and especially The League of Friends for their continuing support.
