THE popular Balmoral steam boat is returning to Lydney on July 24 and September 7 for a cruise to Clevedon and Ilfracombe.
The Balmoral is celebrating her diamond anniversary after being launched in 1949.
Travellers can stop at the quiet seaside resort of Clevedon where there are walks, pubs and cafes. Alternatively, staying on board will take you to Ilfracombe on the North Devon coast where there is plenty of family entertainment.
Kathleen O'Neill of Waverley Excursions said: "There is no better way to spend the day than relaxing on deck and watching the spectacular scenery slip by.
"There is a trip for everyone to enjoy – whether it's a leisurely cruise, a trip to the seaside for the kids, or exploring our extraordinary coastline. The ships themselves really tell a story about how past generations enjoyed their leisure time."
