THE Dilke and Lydney Hospitals are hoping to recruit volunteers at an event at Lydney Hospital on October 6 from 10.30am to 12.30pm.

Jane Evans, clinical pathways lead for Gloucestershire Care Services NHS Trust, said: “We’re setting up a project to support hospital patients through

befriending and other activities, as we want to help make their stay be a better experience. If anyone is interested in finding out more, we can talk through the role and the support and training we would be giving them over a cup of tea.”
