TO MCKG who reckons Mr Ellis does not know what he is talking about.
I agree with everything Mr Ellis wrote about the boar – nowhere did he state that they had killed anyone in Britain.
Wild boar are registered as a dangerous animal. And dogs should be kept on leads is a load of bull except when sheep are lambing.
All Mr Ellis was on about was the damage done to people's gardens and all the Forest ripped up everywhere.
Dogs love to run free which is what they have always done. Someone should be made to pay all the vets' bills.
It's bad enough the anguish people suffer when their dogs are hurt by this boar menace. Damage to gardens and football pitches should be paid for by those responsible for the boar.
Mr Ellis is a born Forester 73 years ago and believes the Forest should be for people to roam. Lots of people no longer walk in the woods because of the boar.
Going back to dogs. Yes they have killed people but they save thousands of lives. They are man's most faithful servant in all walks of life.
