FOR their first indoor meeting of 2016 Forest of Dean Camera Club recently welcomed Martin Fry of the Cheltenham club. Towards the end of the evening he showed two series of pictures which earned him prestigious awards by an international photographic body.
On forthcoming plans, a club spokesperson said: “Over the coming months the club will have a varied programme, with competitions amongst themselves, including the usual print and digital images, together with audio visual and panel presentations.
“In addition there will be sessions when members can exchange ideas, as well as other visiting speakers.
“On Monday, February 15, the club will be welcoming wildlife photographer and journalist Tom Mason, and this promises to be a very special evening, and non members, as well as members of others clubs, will be welcome.
“There will be an admission charge of £4, to include tea or coffee during the interval.”
They added: “In view of a possible “full house”, it would be a help if anyone thinking of attending could advise the club on [email protected].”
