FOREST of Dean Camera Club brought the season to a close with two major changes to the committee.

Bernard Baker said farewell to the group after 47 years – the last 13 of which he has spent as president – due to 'advancing years and ill-health'.

Retiring chairman Graham Ward was made an honorary life member in appreciation of his long service to the club.

Bernard said: "The certificate is considered a rare honour. Graham is only the fifth person to get it in almost seventy years of the club's existence. He has served in various committee posts since the early 1970s."

To conclude his duties Bernard presented the various trophies to the season's competition winners.
