THE Association of Ross Traders (ART) and a group of local community volunteers are busy organising their town's 2013 May Fayre.
Bank Holiday Monday, May 27, sees a day packed full of entertainment throughout the town centre.
The streets will be temporarily pedestrianised and parking will be free for this special event. There will be food, craft and gift stalls, five entertainment stages, children's entertainment, street theatre and even a pop-up zoo.
"We'll be repeating the very popular 'Ross Has Got Talent' open mic stage again, so if you'd like to perform do get in contact to book a slot, or turn up on the day to show off your talents," says a spokesman.
"If you would like to book a stall please do get in touch as soon as possible as spaces are limited.
"Volunteers are contacting ART to offer their services in assisting the event on the day in a variety of roles, including stewards, helping with street banners and setting up entertainment areas. More help is urgently needed, so don't be shy in coming forward to assist."
Ross Town Council is part-funding the event, but sponsors are still needed, and any local businesses or companies that would like to be associated with the Fayre are urged to contact ART as soon as possible.
To enquire about stalls, offering your assistance, performing, booking a slot on the Ross Has Got Talent Stage, sponsorship, and general enquiries, email ART event organiser David MacGregor at [email protected]">[email protected] or see him or his wife Yolanda at Field Fayre, 18-19 Broad St, Ross-on-Wye.
