MAY Hill and Huntley Cubs were among the thousands of young people to celebrate 100 years of cub scouts at Warwick Castle.
The Cubs100 Takeover Day saw the cub scouts soak up the castle’s history, watch the world’s largest working catapult launch a flaming fireball and scale to the top of the tallest tower before partying with the Countess of Warwick at her lavish royal weekend party.
The Scout Association is putting on a series of events, activities and programmes across the year to help packs celebrate the Wildest Birthday Ever.
Leader Paul Etheridge said: “We had some really excitable kids on the way here and it’s wonderful for them to be here at Warwick Castle. They’ve really enjoyed walking up the tower and around the castle. They’ve been to lots of Cubs100 events throughout the year and it’s good to know they are part of one big family and meet other cubs.”
