A SCHOOL fence and part of a listed farm building were damaged in a fire.

Firefighters from Lydney were called to Severnbanks Primary School at around 7.40pm on Friday where around 20 metres of fencing and a hedge were on fire.

A Grade II listed barn at nearby Crump Farm and a caravan were also alight.

Two appliances from Lydney dealth with the fires. The fence and hedge fire took some 70 minutes to deal with and the blaze at the farm was dealt with in about half an hour.
