THE new Chepstow Review has been warmly welcomed by the community as an excellent addition to local news in the region.

Monmouth MP, David Davies said: "I am delighted to support local newspapers and I look forward to working with with the Chepstow Review. Papers such as this are very much at the heart of the community and are often the first port of call for local news, sport and events.

"We already have a number of excellent newspapers in Monmouthshire, some of which are owned by Tindle Newspapers and it is fantastic that a brand new paid-for title is being launched. I am in no doubt that the Chepstow Review will continue to maintain the high standards of local news delivery."

Current Mayor of Chepstow and chair of the Chepstow Society, Mr Henry Hodges, added his voice: "I welcome this new newspaper and am glad they will be having local reporters in the area.

"I can get my national news from the television but that doesn't cover the local news which I do want to read. I am an avid reader of newspapers so if the Chepstow Review keeps its focus on local news, it is very welcome."

Editor, Mark Bristow, said: "Tindle Newspapers has built its reputation on a model of providing local news for local communities. Chepstow will build on that model. We will work hard to emphasise local news and events and to represent the community at all and every level."
