PANTOMIME returns to Bishopswood Village Hall next week, as they stage their ever popular show – which this year is Dick Whittington and His Cat.
Four performances in all are planned, running from Thursday 18 to Saturday 20 February, at 7.30, with a matinee performance starting at 2.30 on Saturday afternoon.
Doors will open an hour before the shows start.
The panto follows the expolits of Dick, as he first makes his way to London, along with his cat.
The Bishopswood Hall facebook page lists the show: “Great fun for all the family - songs, comedy and just a little ‘innuendo’. This bi-annual event is certain to be a sell out once again so book your tickets now by phoning Monica on 01594 860303.”
Refreshments will be available duing the interval.
The cast have been rehearsing the show since last November, but due to bookings at the hall, had to use the church as a rehearsal space instead.
Organisers have reported ‘very brisk’ ticket sales for the shows, and that the Saturday night performance has already almost sold out – something that they have not experienced before to this extent.
The cast, led by David Emerson CBE, and their set designers, will be putting the finishing touches to their scenery this week, ready to greet their eager audiences.
