DURING its 27-year history the Forest Musical Society has put on many different types of show – but never before a panto.
That is being put right this week with Cinderella, a rip-roaring, traditional, family panto at Lydney Town Hall.
It features a wide range of songs, comedy to appeal to children and adults and the odd local reference.
Gentlemen in the audience should be warned that they could be grabbed by the sisters Espie and Hanya and for a few minutes in the spotlight.
Grace Followes takes the title role with Lily Eve Shilston as Prince Charming and Frankie D’amato as Buttons.
It also features Jacqueline Turley as Faity G, Caroline Faligno as the evil Lady Develia Hardup and Lucy Mackean as her husband, Baron Hardup.
But it is Jordan Wild and David Williams as sisters Espie and Hanya who steal the show with their gale force performances.
The show is directed by James Roy Gough and choreographed by Tiffany-Jo Spiers.
There is live music led by musical director Joey Prescott.
The show is on at Lydney Town Hall tomorrow (Friday, 2January 25) at 7.30pm and Saturday at 2.30pm and 7.30pm and tickets are available at Mum’s Beautiful Mess in Lydney and Fairways Furnishing in Coleford.
