A COLOSSAL £3,000 was raised last Saturday as the 'Play for Joshie' fundraising day arrived at Cinderford Rugby Club. This brings the total funds raised to help Josh Lee to almost £6,000.
Organisers were 'delighted' at both the turnout and level of funds they raised and also the commitment of the players to generate excellent rugby for the attending audience.
A poignant moment came with the release of live doves to symbolise the hopes of the organisers for Josh's recovery. The birds were supplied by LoveDoves.
•The next fund-raising event on the calendar for Josh's supporters will be a concert at the Crown Inn in Coalway on September 30. Acts so far confirmed include Bob Smith, Evolution, Pandemick and Tripwire. The organisers are still seeking artists for the event, who should call Emma on 834681 to register their interest in playing or they can email her on [email protected]">[email protected]
