POLICE cars were seen in Westbury-on-Severn this afternoon (Friday) attending to an armed robbery.
Residents are urged to stay vigilant after a man armed with a knife stole hundreds of pounds from the post office.
It’s reported the offender demanded the cashier, a woman, to open the till at around 1.30pm.
A police spokesperson said: "The cashier was not physically harmed but has been left very shaken by the incident."
The man is described as a white man, 5 foot 8, wearing a woollen grey hooded top.
Enquiries are ongoing to trace him.
Anyone who sees a man of this description is urged not to approach him but to call police on 101 quoting incident 231 of February 5.
