YEAR One pupils at Woolaston School were thrilled that Archie, an adorable young dog, joined them in class last week.

Archie, a cocker-labrador cross, belongs to Felicity Blades who lives near the school and went to say hello to Gemini class.

The class topic is currently those who help and Archie certainly does that as a ‘Pets as Therapy’ dog.

Pets as Therapy is a national charity that trains animals to go into places such as schools, hospitals and care homes to meet people.

Archie was a big hit with the youngsters and even managed to win over those who aren’t very confident around dogs.
