MAY I, through your letters column, request some help from your kind readers.
I knit ponies to sell for the wild ponies on the Welsh mountains.
I try to send hay money, now and again, directly to a hay man who supplies volunteer helpers to feed the ponies who are hungry, cold and sad.
These ponies are not geared up to harsh conditions, unlike the Exmoor ponies.
I wonder if anyone would like to help? Spike at Ruardean Post Office sells them for me but the market has become a bit slow at present.
Any offers of help will be gratefully received.
Believe me, these ponies cannot live on the mountain grass as there is none.
People dump ‘sensitive’-type ponies up there too.
In the year 2016 this state of affairs should not exist but sadly it does.
– Margaret Wardle, Ruardean.
