FOREST of Dean Golf Club has a new president.

Ed Winstone, from Caldicot, was elected to the role at the annual general meeting at Bells Hotel on February 15, replacing retiring president Frank Beech.

Spokesperson for the club, Albert Weager, said: “Ed is a long standing member of the club and is a former club and seniors captain. He has also served on a number of committees.”
