GWENT Police are appealing for information after a flatbed vehicle collided with a police car in Monmouth.
It’s believed two people wearing balaclavas jumped out of the John Deere flatbed after hitting the car in Old Dixton Road, next to Monmouth Comprehensive School, and ran off.
One person ran in the direction of the school while the other towards Wyesham after the incident on December 28 at 11.15pm. Both police officers were uninjured.
A spokesperson for Gwent Police said: “The police vehicle wasn’t stationary at the time and there was no serious damage caused.
“A number of agricultural items were found in the flatbed vehicle. Officers suspect that both the vehicle and the items inside have been stolen from a nearby farm.”
Anybody with any information should call 101, quoting log number 451 of December 28.
