WE have been reading the worrying reports about Cinderford Leisure Centre, which looks to be under-threat of closure. 

The loss for the community, particularly of the swimming pool, which has always had an excellent teaching reputation,  will be immeasurable. 

Once it’s gone, it’s gone.

I would strongly urge the people of Cinderford to form a group akin to FANS (Five Acres Not for Sale) – which started when we thought we would lose Five Acres leisure.
