A BATCH of hi-tech Forest tablets was the right prescription for a group of enterprising Lydney youngsters.

The enterprise group at Severnbanks Primary School raised the money for new tablet computers which were made by Cinderford-based company Versarien.

It included selling woollen egg cosies knitted by the school's knitting club and in total they raised £1,600.

The school has bought 30 of the tablets which will be used by pupils to find information on the internet.

Daisy Heaman, who is also the pupil representative to the governing body, said: "We have laptops but they are quite big. It will be easier to look things up on the tablet."
