MONMOUTH Rotary Club is promising this year's firework display will be even better than last year with: "spectacular effects and colours."
An added advantage is that, given a good night, the display will be mirrored in The River Wye, because the display takes place in the field alongside the rowing club in Old Dixton Road.
Gates open at 6pm, with Mayor Gerry Bright lighting the bonfire at 6.30pm and the display starting at 6.45pm.
There is an entry fee but all money raised from the event goes to local charities, primarily St David's Foundation Hospice Care, Breast Cancer Research, Bridges, Wales Air Ambulance and MacMillan Cancer Support.
