FOLLOWING a Review article in February calling for more support for the Mitcheldean Beaver Colony, its numbers have been boosted to 24 – and they've just enjoyed their investiture ceremony.
The Beavers and new leaders made their promise and became full members of the Scout association.
Scout District Commissioner Martin Williams said he was pleased with the number of Beavers and the many adults who had given their time each week to help the running of the colony.
"Without this adult help scouting could not survive," he said.
Forest of Dean Scouts have groups all round the Forest and they intend to increase these in the near future.
