SCULPTORS and carvers are showcasing their work from recycled and reclaimed materials in a new exhibition.
Dean Heritage Centre in Soudley is hosting the outdoor display in partnership with Arts in the Marches until Sunday, June 4.
A special guide will help visitors find the sculptures and provide information about the artists and the story of their creation.
Arts in the Marches chief Frances Warren originally suggested the idea to the centre’s education and audience engagement officer, Joanne Clarke, who was happy to support the scheme.
Joanne said: “The Dean Heritage Centre is always happy to find new ways to showcase local artists’ work, whether they are established, amateur or just looking for ways to get noticed.
“We have a unique site which lends itself to celebrating art in all its guises.
“Using recycled and reclaimed materials to create art and to discover beauty in something destined for destruction is a powerful continuation of the products’ usefulness and story.
“It is an opportunity to come along and view things through different eyes and see the beauty in something that might otherwise have been discarded.”
Entry to the exhibition is included in the admission price to Dean Heritage Centre, which is open daily from 10am until 5pm.
