AN OPEN evening at Gloucestershire College’s Forest of Dean campus next Wednesday (November 8) offers the chance to see what the new facility at the Northern Quarter will look like.
The event will give those attending the chance to explore apprenticeships and higher education, find out more about student development opportunities, get impartial advice on career and course choices and hear talks from the principal and higher education and apprenticeships teams.
There will also be a ‘fly-through’ of the new campus currently being built as part of the Cinderford Northern Quarter development and information about transport links from Stagecoach.
Principal, Matthew Burgess, said: “With the first three ’Tech Levels’ having recently been announced by the education secretary, post-16 career choices have never been a hotter topic.
“Gloucestershire College has long been a driving force in technical education in the county, working with employers to ensure its courses are industry-relevant and students leave work-ready.”
The open evening runs from 5.30pm to 7.30pm at the Forest of Dean Five Acres campus.
