A PROJECT to help families in Lydney is entering a new phase at its new home in the centre of the town.
The Lydney Cluster (TLC) Welcome project has moved to Lydney Community Centre in Naas Lane from its initial base at Severnbanks Primary School.
A range of free courses for parents and carers starts at the centre from Monday, April 21.
Project manager Kate Newall said: "The project aims to connect people to others and build links. This can help all of us get through life's challenges.
"So many problems are caused by social isolation and the project is here to help people overcome isolation. Moving to the community centre means we are much more accessible to more people living in Lydney.
"We aim to provide an environment that is welcoming to enable parents and carers to access support and advice. There is a wide range of free courses including numeracy and literacy, budgeting to make your money go further, helping to improve your child's reading, job club and computer confidence."
