POLICE are appealing for information after a serious collision on the A40 Northbound carriageway at Monmouth on Saturday night (6.45pm December 15).
A 49 year-old local man was in a collision with a car as he attempted to cross the A40 from the Wye Bridge going into Monmouth town centre.
He was taken to the Nevill Hall Hospital and later transferred to the University of Wales Hospital in Cardiff.
A number of witnesses were interviewed including the driver of the car involved in the collision but police want anyone else who witnessed the incident, including motorists travelling southbound, to contact them on 101.
