PUPILS at a Forest school can number themselves the best in Gloucestershire.
Year Four pupils at Yorkley Primary School topped the table in the
latest roud of the Gloucestershire SumDog competition – beating friends from Year Five at the school.
Yorkley have chalked up back-to-back wins in the competition – although it was Year Five who were victorious in December.
Children had to answer 1,000 questions on a range of maths topics.
The overall individual honours were taken by Year Two pupil Sian Wood who answered 982 questions correctly.
Sian just pipped Robin Clare of Year Five who scored 981.
Headteacher Kate Burke said: "I feel very proud, not only of the year group but of the whole school, for participating in SumDog and I congratulate Year Four for beating Year Five – I like friendly competition."
