National League Division Two South
Cinderford 29-34 Taunton Titans A
---------
TWO losing bonus points were little consolation for Cinderford as they went down to their third defeat in a row.
The Davison Two South leaders returned to Somerset having been made to work for their victory at Dockham Road.
Taunton showed the form which has seen them average 30 points a game with a try after two minutes for Richard Bright with Gary Kingdom adding the extra points.
Cinderford went further behind to a penalty but fought back with a converted try on 10 minutes with fly-half converting after prop James Tideswell went over after good work from the forwards.
Jake Caulfied scored Taunton’s second try after 27 minutes and the conversion gave them a 10-point advantage at the break.
The visitors stretched their lead with Bright grabbing his second try six minutes after the restart and the conversion made it 27-10.
Within five minutes the hosts were back to within 10 points courtesy of a touchdown by back row George Evans and a conversion by Moffatt.
With a quarter of an hour left another converted try put Titans 17 points in front.
A penalty following the restart was finished by scrum-half Alex Frame going over the line although Moffatt failed to add the extras.
The final score came two minutes into injury time courtesy of a penalty try for collapsing the scrum with Moffatt adding the conversion.
