Undy A regained their place at the top of the Under 16 league with a 6-1 win at Caldicot Town. They lead by a point from Goytre and two points from Abergavenny Thursdays after their game against each other was postponed.
Rockfield Rovers and Garden City remain joint fourth after they both secured impressive victories over the two bottom clubs. Rovers beat Undy B 8-3 while Mardy lost 3-0 at home to Garden City.
The top two both scored nine as the goals flowed in the Under 14 league. Leaders Mardy recorded an emphatic 9-0 win over bottom club Usk while second-placed Caldicot Town won 9-2 against Abergavenny Thursdays. Garden City kept up the pressure in third with a 3-0 local derby win over Chepstow Town. City are four points behind Caldicot with two games in hand. A 6-2 win for Monmouth Town extended the gap between themselves and sixth-placed Undy to six points.
Rockfield Rovers increased their chances of winning the Under 13 league after a 5-3 win over Abergavenny Thursdays who had started the day second. Garden City replace them after beating Chepstow Town 1-0.
And finally in the Under 12 division, Garden City closed the gap on leaders Abergavenny Thursdays to a single point after a 5-0 win at Chepstow Town. City have two games in hand over Abergavenny who were held to a 1-1 draw at home to third-placed Monmouth Town. Thornwell continued their great start to 2012 with a comprehensive 8-0 win over Undy. The result means that Thornwell have scored an incredible 28 goals in four games since the turn of the year. They remain fourth with Undy a place below them. There was also an excellent win for bottom club Caerwent who moved within three points of Chepstow Town above them with a 5-0 win over Mardy.
