MARTIAL arts students got a kick out of attending a local championship, with 19 club members winning no less than 27 medals.

Blakeney Tae Kwon-Do travelled to Monmouth Leisure Centre for an inter-club competition, and came home with 14 gold medals, 10 silver medals and three bronze medals.

Instructor Paula Webb (who won three of the golds) said: “This is an amazing achievement for Blakeney Tae Kwon-Do.

“My students train extremely hard and their hard work has definitely paid off.

“Not one of my students came away empty handed. I am very proud of them all.”
